An Owner With A Passion For Families

As a director elsewhere, Maria Ahrens wanted to be able to make a bigger impact on school culture, so she decided to open her own. Paper Planes opened in September 2020 and is a family-owned and operated business. As owner and director, Maria is on site every day to make sure your child gets the care they deserve.

Maria has been in the early childhood field for over 15 years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education, holds an Early Childhood Certificate, and has a master’s degree in Family Therapy, which helps her in her work every day. She has been a childcare director for 10 years. She is also a doula because she LOVES the pregnancy and birth world. She is a mom of two and had her 2nd baby at home with a nurse midwife.
